Abdulrahim Sulaiman, 38, is charged in the vicious attack, Bridgeport Police said.
Authorities were called to a home in the 2400 block of Main St. in Bridgeport around 10 a.m. to reports of an attack. Inside, police found two children – ages 4 and 6 — and their 38-year-old mother suffering life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Officers gave them CPR until paramedics could rush them to an area hospital, where they remained in critical condition with blunt-force trauma, police said.
Police arrested Sulaiman as he was walking away from the apartment. Authorities have not released his charges or how he is related to the family.
Investigators were still processing the scene as of Wednesday evening.
